China Steel #97unloading wharf 3, 4 ship unloader equipment, which has reached the end of its service life to be replaced with the new one; CSMC relies on continuous unloader has accumulated relevant and abundant engineering performances. In April, 2019, it was contracted in the form of Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) turnkey for China Steel #97 wharf. For the engineering project of raw materials ship unloader and conveyor at the wharf, Japan vendor IUK provided the design and main mechanical and electrical parts. The scope of this case includes the removal of the old No. 3 and No. 4 ship unloaders, the newly built 3A , 4A two ship unloaders, and the conveyor D-1/D-21 update.
The ship unloader is a super-large heavy-duty steel structure machinery and equipment. This project has been successfully carried out from Kaohsiung Port #74 Wharf in October 2020. The whole machine output two newly-built raw materials ship unloaders were delivered by a heavy crane ship to the China Steel #97 unloading terminal, taking into account the normal production requirements of the China Steel production line and coordinating with the overhaul schedule of the No. 2 blast furnace within 105 days, complete the new / old ship unloader on/offshore lifting process and the conveyor renewal operations. In addition, the team successfully completed the performance test of the new ship unloader in June of 2021 under a series of trial runs and adjustments and achieved the goal. The new #3A & #4A ship unloader will exert a discharge capacity of 2,500 tons per hour and the new D-1/D-21 conveyor belt will also improve conveying efficiency and effectively reduce dust spillage, once again demonstrate CSMC's high-quality EPC capability. CSMC will also continue to cooperate with China Steel's relevant optimization operations and contribute to stabilizing China Steel's production and enhancing environmental protection and improving benefits.
