CSMC contracted CSC's #97 pier grasping ship unloaders replacement project EPC, the scope of the project includes the removal of the old No. 3 and No. 4 ship unloaders and the new construction of No. 3A, 4A Two Ship Unloader and conveyorsD-1 / D-21 renovation.
Engineering Features
1. CSMC has obtained the "Cable Trolley Unloader" type inspection certificate issued by the Inspection Department of the Ministry of Labor and has become the only manufacturer in Taiwan with this type of certificate, demonstrating CSMC's core capability of gradually establishing its own design.
2. In this project, the whole ship unloader output mode was adopted. On-site welding and electromechanical construction were carried out at the backline of Kaohsiung Port #74. The equipment will be directly transported to the China Steel unloading wharf for installation by heavy lift vessels. To overcome the limitation of the old ship unloader's inability to steer, the old ship unloader is carried back to the backline of the #74 wharf with a heavy lift vessel and the dismantling is carried out after the safety measures are planned and set up.
3. In line with the overhaul schedule of the No. 2 blast furnace, complete the new / old ship unloader on / off shore lifting procedure and the conveyor updating operations.
Product Functions
This project has successfully completed the performance test of the new ship unloader at the end of June, 2021. In the future, it will leverage to its unloading capacity of 2,500 tons per hour and become a new force in China Steel Wharf, contributing to the stable unloading of raw materials and the improvement of environmental protection benefits.
