Product description

DSC’s blast furnace is designed by system supplier SAVI, and the furnace unit is manufactured and equipment is installed by CSMC. Besides the furnace unit, the project also includes the manufacture and installation of peripheral equipment. In addition to the steel plate feeding and cutting, bending and forming, sample making and assembly, welding and forming, thermal treatment, machining, blast treatment and coating, and QC for the above items, the CSMC is also responsible for the provision of complete material certificates and quality management documents for inspection and evaluation by the clients and procuring units.

Product specifications

The blast furnace unit is an 18-storey structure with a total height of about 80m. The unit is mainly built with SM490C carbon steel with a maximum thickness of 100mm. The furnace unit is equipped with three iron dispensers and 32 blower nozzles. Its annual capacity is about 2.5 million MT.

Product functions

The blast furnace is an iron making process during which solid materials including iron ores, coke, and flux are added to the furnace via the feeding device atop the furnace for the blower nozzles at the lower part of the furnace to blow in hot air to generate reduction gases to reduce iron ore and produce molten steel and pig iron.
