Build 5 new pumping units (including engines, water pumps, reducers, clutches) and accessory equipment (including fuel oil, cooling water, and ventilation systems) to effectively reduce inundation in watershed areas to improve the living quality of local residents.
The Jingmei Pumping Station (old station) was completed in 1982 with a design pumping capacity of 8CMS. In 2006 the total pumping capacity was increased to 22CMS. Later in 2002, an expansion project was implemented to equip the new station with five pumping units, each at 8CMS, to increase the pumping capacity to 40CMS.

Improve the water drainage function across the city by building five 8CMS vertical flood control pumping units and accessory equipment in the Jingmei Pumping Station (expansion section) in Wenshan District, Taipei City. During torrential rain or a typhoon, the pumping station can pump water in the area to the Xindian River to maximize the flood control function of the pump units to prevent floods.
