Build 4 pumping units (including engines, pumps, reducers, and clutches) and accessory equipment (including fuel oil, cooling water, and ventilation systems) to effectively reduce inundation in watershed areas to improve the living quality of local residents.
The watershed area of the Xinsheng Pumping Station is about 926 hectares, covering the north of Roosevelt Road, east of Zhongshan South Road, west of Fuxing South Road, and south of the Keelung River. It has been 25 years now since the Xinsheng Pumping Station was completed. The pumping capacity can no longer handle the torrential rain of recent years. In the Xinsheng Pumping Station Expansion Project, four 14 CMS pumping units are built to facilitate drainage of water from the Xinsheng Drainage Canal and (Wang Liu) Gong Canal to the Keelung River.

The project smoothly demonstrated its drainage function on May 2, 2008. The civil works was completed on May 20, 2008. The whole project was completed on August 18, 2008 to enhance local flood control capacity and protect the life and property of local residents.
